This past New Years Eve, Party on the Moon had the privilege of performing for Donald Trump at Mar-a-lago in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was our fourth year in a row for this event, which is held in the Donald Trump Ballroom, one of the most spectacular ballrooms in the world.

Quality is everywhere - the chandeliers, the place settings, the art, the lighting, the service - every detail is the best of the best. The guest list includes some of the most successful businessmen and women in the world. Rod Stewart, who is a regular at this event, and his beautiful wife were four tables from the stage.  Rod’s work embodies quality as he continues to reinvent himself in concerts and as a recording artist. (He’s also a really charming guy and took the time to come backstage to meet the band.)

When I created Party on the Moon, my goal was to be the best and to focus on quality in every aspect of the band and customer service. My partner, Ed Duncan, has taught me the value of going the extra mile to over-deliver and give the client more than they pay for. My Sensei teaches me in Taido Karate: quality! quality! quality! My wife reminds me that I still have lots of work to do in this area.

In 2013, many of us have made resolutions for the coming year. I have had the honor to meet and work for some of the most influential clients in the world. One thing they have in common is a dedication to quality. Eli Manning, Michael Jordan, Bill Gates . . . they all have the championship spirit.

We have a choice.  We can choose to do quality work, to surround ourselves with quality people and bring quality into the world. If we focus on quality, the result will take care itself.

I wish you a healthy and prosperous 2013.

Here’s to quality!
